THE HISTORICAL ORACLE

My name is Jacqui, or as my students know me, Miss Duvall, and thank you for visiting my teaching website and blog.  I am an Iowa native and currently teach 7th-grade social studies. This is my fourth year teaching and I absolutely LOVE it!

I graduated from Iowa State University in May 2015 with a B.S. in History Education, and a minor in Political Science. In June 2015, I was fortunate to be hired for my first teaching position at a rural school district in Iowa, where I taught 7th-grade geography. I have recently been hired to teach the same class at a larger middle school near Cedar Rapids this fall. I am very excited to experience teaching in a bigger school district and having to only teach one class each day is an added benefit.
